MACA is a statewide, non-profit association that supports Missouri 's Community Action Agencies. Located in every corner of Missouri, both rural and urban, the agencies provide services to help the working poor become self-sufficient. MACA is the bond that unites people behind a common mission “to inspire and engage people to ensure that all families and communities thrive.”
Operating at the direction of a Board of Directors, MACA advocates on the state and national levels for effective policies and funding to help Community Action Agencies achieve the mission. MACA provides education and training for members to improve their job skills. MACA creates opportunities for skill sharing and knowledge advancement through conferences, professional alliances and communications. MACA promotes a greater understanding of poverty throughout Missouri.
