Transformational Plan 2010-2013

Each day across Missouri, Community Action Agencies provide services that strengthen families and communities. And while they continue to battle poverty family by family, community action has stepped up the fight to end poverty statewide. An ambitious Transformational Plan to organize communities, develop leaders and build MACA has been developed by a leadership team and approved by MACA’s Board of Directors.

The Transformational Plan contains strategies to accomplish both 3-year and 10-year outcomes that achieve the MACA Vision: United in purpose the Missouri Community Action Network will inspire and engage people to ensure that all families and communities thrive.

Our families and communities will thrive when …

  • All workers earn a living wage
  • All people have reliable health insurance
  • All citizens have safe and affordable housing
  • All employers have a well-educated workforce
  • All working parents have quality care for their children
  • All people have opportunities to reach their full potential through education and job training
  • All communities have civic-minded employers who invest in workers by offering jobs that sustain families and strengthen communities
