Community Action Agency of St. Louis County (CAASTLC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, established in 1968 ‘to end poverty’ in St. Louis County, Missouri. Our agency promotes self-sufficiency through financial literacy, employment, nutrition, weatherization, energy assistance, drug and alcohol education, family and youth case management and more. CAASTLC is a member of the Community Action Partnership, originally created in 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson’s Economic Opportunity Act, a pivotal piece of legislation in the War on Poverty. In 2016, CAASTLC provided services to over 44,000 St. Louis County residents of which 80% were living in poverty.
Give STL Day is a 24-hour giving event that helps local nonprofits such as ours have the opportunity to receive funds from generous supporters, like you. Imagine the impact you can have on the households that we serve when you donate on May 11th!
We hope you will join CAASTLC in celebrating Community Action Month and the people they serve in St. Louis County. To learn more about CAASTLC, visit caastlc.org. #MissouriCAN #BeCommunityAction
