Support OACAC in Give Ozarks Day May 9!

Written by Lindsey Dumas-Bell, OACAC Resource Development Manager

On Tuesday, May 9, OACAC will be participating for a second year in Give Ozarks Day, which is a 24-hour online fundraising campaign to raise awareness and support for over 220 organizations across the Ozarks affiliated with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.  We invite and encourage all Community Action Agency staff and friends to help us Fill the GAP through an online donation of $5 or more.  The GAP is our Grant Assistance Pot of money which is used to fill the gaps in need for the people we serve – specifically, these are the needs our community has our federal funding doesn’t include.

How does it work?

Between 12am – 11:59pm on Tuesday, May 9, a person anywhere in the world can log on to www.giveozarks.org/2017/oacac and make a donation.  100% of the funds raised will go back to the community, based on the needs as seen by our seven programs.  While we will GLADLY accept donations anytime, we do have three target times, which put us in the running for prize money.  Those times are 5-6am, at 4:17pm on the nose, and between 9-10pm.

We hope you will join OACAC in celebrating Community Action Month and the people they serve in the Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Lawrence, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster counties. To learn more about OACAC, visit oac.ac
