Missouri CAA Responses to COVID-19

At Missouri CAN, we recognize the challenges COVID-19 has created for your community and staff, and you’ve risen to the occasion to help an increasing number of people in need during this pandemic.

Yet this pandemic continues on. Community Action staff see firsthand the struggles of Missourians during this public health crisis.

We’ve heard about CAAs that have received double the volume of calls every day over the past 6 months from people seeking assistance. You know the impact of utility disconnections and housing evictions. You know the childcare concerns and the struggle families face to put food on tables.

Your stories reflect Community Action’s ability to empathize with your communities and adapt to changing needs.

With additional CSBG money coming to the Network thanks to the CARES Act, we want to share the stories of innovative programs and services that your agency is providing.

We also want to capture the realities people in your community are facing going into the winter months and the new year.

Just like before, we want to share this information with funders, leaders at the Missouri Department of Social Services, state legislators, Congresspersons, statewide coalitions, and other key stakeholders. Simply review the prompts in this survey to share the most important issues your CAA and community are facing.

Once you submit your information, Missouri CAN staff will weave together your responses to highlight the needs of individuals, children, and families in your communities during these challenging times.
