Our Why

Community Action Agencies serve as America’s anti-poverty network. In Missouri, we are guided by the Promise of Community Action:

Community Action changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.

This Promise unites the Missouri Network in purpose to help families and improve communities. The Missouri CAN Annual Conference allows Community Action Agencies in Missouri to learn innovative best practices to create change, expand agency capacity, and serve communities better.
